Microdermabrasion is a deep mechanical exfoliation of the skin to treat face and body peeling, lined, wrinkled or sun-damaged skin, dull, congested, thick or blemished skin, active acne, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks and scars. Microcrystals corundum powder is directed to the skin surface through a sealed tubing system with a dedicated handpiece which removes unwanted dead skin cells and scarred tissue. A continuous vacuum of microcrystal is formed. The microcrystals are finally collected in a container that holds the waste material. The epidermal cell structure is regenerated and skin appears fresh and clean. A series of weekly treatments may be required, depending on the area that needs to be treated.
